Growing lifelong learners through joy, curiosity, connection & community.

Dear SES Families,

I hope that your week is off to a great start. At SES we recognize the importance of getting children outdoors and having opportunities for open ended outdoor play. We offer morning recess from 7:30 to 8:10 each morning as well as lunch and snack recess opportunities. These opportunities for outdoor play have cognitive, social, academic and emotional benefits to children and help our students become regulated and ready for learning.

We appreciate you supporting your child in dressing for the weather this week so that we are able to get outside.  It has been wonderful to see the children outside in their rain suits and boots this week. We do keep extra items in the office and if your family needs support accessing all weather clothing for your child, please reach out to the school.

Open House

I hope that you will join us this week on Thursday, September 21st, 5:30-6:30 for our annual open house. During this time, classrooms will be open for you to meet your child’s teacher, see examples of class work and visit with other families here at school. It is an important event that builds connection and community across our school. Students are also invited to bring their families to the unified arts classrooms and tour the school. The PTO will have a table in the cafeteria where you can learn about volunteer opportunities throughout the year and get involved. We look forward to seeing you then!

We are Hiring!

We are in the process of hiring and have several open positions. Do you know anyone who may want to join our team in the following positions?

A Special Education Paraprofessional works with children who have an IEP to support their instruction and inclusion in our school. The classroom teacher, special education teacher, and specialists will provide training and support to prepare you to support the child.

A Math Program Aide works to support our math curriculum here at SES. They are an integral part of our team working with individual and small groups of children both in and out of the classroom.

A Special Educator is an integral part of each grade level team. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with students, helping develop and implement positive behavior plans, and supporting students to access and benefit from the general education curriculum. This teacher will work in collaboration with general education teachers, parents, related service providers, and paraprofessional staff.

If you know anyone who may be interested in any of these positions, please have them contact Megan Herman (megan.herman@lamoillesouth.org).

Front Parking Lot

Our front circle parking lot needs to be empty in order for the buses to fit. Please refrain from parking in the front circle after 2:15pm.
