Dear PAML Families,

I am excited to report that next week we’ll be welcoming some special guests to the building for a unique musical performance.  Evan Premo and Mikahely will be joining us on 4/3 for a performance during the day and a community event after the school day.  This event was made possible by anonymous donors and the Alchemist Foundation.  Please see additional details below.

I wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of the school schedule update related to the eclipse.  We have received direction from local law enforcement to close on April 8th due to the influx of visitors to Vermont. We appreciate your understanding and hope this day can be celebrated as an opportunity to engage in a discussion around scientific wonder.  We will communicate any change to our end of year schedule including plans for 8th grade graduation as soon as an official last day of school is confirmed.

This week we sent out a separate detailed notice regarding our VTCAP testing.  As a reminder, we plan to administer these assessments between April 9th and April 19th.  Please reach out with any questions regarding these state assessments.

Finally, The revote of the Elmore-Morristown FY25 budget has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 16.  Information about the proposed budget can be viewed HERE.  Please remember to vote and reach out to the Central Office at 888-4541 with any additional questions.

Thank you for your continued support.

Hello Families!

River Arts is ON!  If you’ve expressed interest on the registration form, I’ve already put you on the roster.  I will reach out to those on my list to confirm.  I think there are about 3-4 slots still open, maybe more, depending on confirmations.  It will be held on Wednesdays starting in April (3, 10, 17), then May (1, 8, 15, 22, 29).  Below is a description of the class:

Drawing, Painting, &  Printmaking

Students will take their drawing skills and layer them with painting, collage, and additional materials to make some truly unique creations! They will learn more about color mixing/color theory and how to develop a unique composition using traditional art methods and some digital art components.

Rosie’s Girls will be offered again this spring (start day/date TBD), and we’re super excited!  It will be hosted by the Morristown community center, so students will walk down to the CC with a chaperone to participate in the class.  See link below to learn more about the program.

Table Tennis is offering a couple of advanced classes to students already enrolled, so there may be an opportunity for others to join the already existing classes on Tu/Th (that were previously filled up).  I’ll know more after the break.

We’ll also have a couple more Unbound classes starting in April, stay tuned for more info on those, along with Disc Golf, Tu/Th, which starts on April 2nd.

** The rest of the Unbound classes not mentioned above will be continuing through the end of May! **

Spring isn’t too far off ~ hope to see your children in some of these great offerings!
