Established in 1847, Peoples Academy (PA) has a long history of innovation and excellence. PA recognizes that each child is an individual, that all children are creative, and that all children need to succeed. Our staff supports and respects the individual needs of our students, fosters a caring and creative environment, and emphasizes the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each student.
We seek to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through developmentally appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. We strive to have our parents, teachers and community members actively involved in our students’ learning.
PA’s focus is success for all learners. The examples of students finding success are endless at PA. We believe that our student body deserves various pathways to graduation. Their learning might take the form of an engaging discussion about Shakespeare or a working internship with a nearby business or community organization. Allowing for multiple pathways to graduation offers students more than one avenue toward achievement.
Striving for excellence, through diverse and comprehensive programs designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning, we provide a stimulating and supportive environment that challenges all students to be respectful and responsible world citizens.
