Stowe Elementary School

Growing lifelong learners through joy, curiosity, connection, and community.

Stowe Elementary School (SES), established in 1847, has a rich history of providing a nurturing and innovative learning environment for students. Recognizing the unique qualities of each child, SES values creativity and the importance of individual success.

The dedicated staff at SES is committed to understanding and meeting the distinct needs of every student. By fostering a caring and imaginative setting, the school focuses on the holistic development of students, encompassing social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

With a goal of creating a challenging yet inclusive learning atmosphere, SES emphasizes high expectations while accommodating diverse learning styles. Collaboration among parents, teachers, and community members is encouraged to actively support students' educational journeys. During the winter, Stowe schools participate in “Friday program” – six to eight half days where students participate in extracurricular items of interest.  Options include Alpine and Nordic skiing, swimming, skating, bowling, and theater. The district is appreciative of the support received from the community, including a royalty-free play that is part of a collection for kids and teens on Drama Notebook.

Through a range of diverse programs aimed at instilling a lifelong passion for learning, SES aims to inspire students to become respectful and responsible global citizens.
